History

Personal History:
Arthur Weasley was jailed, along with his wife Molly, Sirius Black, James Potter, and others in early July of 1981. He's always suspected it was more because he was very vocal about his belief in equal rights for anyone with magical talent than for his actual dealings with the Order of the Phoenix. Molly was released by a sympathetic guard, and she went into hiding to have their youngest child, but Arthur was left in the prison, completely miserable and bereft, thanks to the influence of the Dementors that guarded the island. While imprisioned, Arthur's cell was near that of James Potter, who filled Arthur in on the whereabouts of his children. That's when anger found a home in Arthur Weasley's heart. Normally a friendly, if a bit eccentric, man, he was beyond livid at the thought of strangers raising his boys, teaching them the wrong things, the wrong way to treat people, the wrong way to live their lives. He swore, then and there, that if he ever got out, he would find and destroy the regime that robbed him of his family. The Order of the Phoenix staged an attack and broke him and others out in November of that same year.

After going into hiding in an Order safehouse and being introduced to his daughter, Arthur worked as hard as he possibly could to make sure that his wife and daughter are safe. Always having been fascinated with muggles and the muggle way of life, Arthur has spent the nearly two decades he's been in hiding with study. He is the Order's muggle expert, so to speak, and he and his wife are among the families who help to acclimate muggle-born wizards to life as a wizard. They help to protect and teach them and make them functioning members of the Order.
